MY CAT
I have a cat in my house, the cat is male. I like call him “Papay”. He is an adorable cat, my cat is cute. His body is fat. He has black and white fur.
I really love to cuddle him because his fur feels soft. Every morning my mother gives a fish, sometime he usually scratches out my arm when I play with him. He is an active animal. He likes to run around the house. He likes to chase everyone in my house. When he feels tired or sleepy, he usually sleeps on the sofa in the living room or sometime under the table.
“Papay” often goes out to find for food at night. And sometime he brings a mouse on his mouth. Then he eats the mouse in the back of my house for himself.

TEACHING READING IN ENGLISH
Pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris saat ini telah
mengalami perubahan total, dimana pada kurikulum yang dulu (tahun 1994
kebawah), pembalajaran Bahasa Inggris didominasi oleh pe ngajaran tata bahasa
dan Grammar.
Namun sekarang ini pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris
telah bergeser dengan penekanan pembelajaran membaca bagi peserta didik atau
disebur reading comprehension. Pengenalan reading text mulai
diperkenalkan sejak di kelas 7.
Descriptive Text
Descriptive Text adalah salah satu jenis text
dalam Bahasa
Inggris yang menggambarkan dengan jelas sifat-sifat yang
melekat pada sesuatu, baik itu manusia, hewan, tumbuhan mau pun benda mati.
Tujuan dari teks ini adalah memberikan informasi dengan jelas mengenai objek
yang digambarkan kepada pembaca.

Recount Text merupakan salah satu teks dalam
materi bahasa
inggris yang dibuat dengan tujuan menceritakan ulang berbagai
kejadian dan peristiwa yang sudah terjadi di masa lalu. Karena merupakan cerita
di masa lalu, maka struktur dari recount text akan menggunakan kalimat masa
lampau (past tense). Dalam artikel ini akan diberikan contoh recountext pendek
tentang liburan atau holiday beserta keluarga dan lainnya.

Yesterday my family went to the zoo to see the elephant and other
animal. When we got to the zoo, we went to the shop to buy some food to give to
the animals. After getting the food we went to the nocturnal house where we saw
birds and reptiles which only come out at night. Before lunch we went for a
ride on the elephant. It was a thrill to ride it. Dad nearly fell off when he
let go of the rope.
During lunch we fed some birds in the park. In the afternoon we saw the animals being fed. When we returned home we were tired but happy because we had so much fun.

Narrative Text
Narrative Text adalah jenis teks yang
bercerita. Ada karakter, setting, plot, konflik, dan resolusi sebagai akhir
cerita. Kamu akan menyukai teks ini jika kamu suka mendengar cerita rakyat atau
dongeng sebelum tidur untuk mengaktifkan imajinasi.

The Gingerbread Man
A long time ago, there lived an old little couple in a
cottage. One day, woman decided to make a gingerbread man for dinner. As soon
as a gingerbread man was decorated with eyes nose mouth, he jumped out and
ran away.
The gingerbread man ran as fast as
he could. Old woman and her husband tried to chase him. However, gingerbread
man ran too fast for them. Soon, he passed a hungry pig; that pig wanted to eat
him. That pig also tried to catch gingerbread man.
Gingerbread
man said “Run, run as fast as you can. You can’t catch me I’m the gingerbread
man.” Other animals like cow, horse, dogs, cats also wanted to eat him but they
couldn’t outrun him.
Now, gingerbread man came to a
river. He was afraid of water. A clever fox came and offered help to cross the
river. Fox asked gingerbread man to climb on his head. As soon as they reached
the other side, Fox tossed up the gingerbread man in the air, opened his
mouth and finally ate him.

Report
text merupakan jenis teks lain dalam materi bahasa inggris yang dibuat dengan
tujuan mengumumkan hasil dari suatu penyelidikan atau mengumumkan sesuatu yang
telah terjadi. Karena sering disamakan dengan descriptive text, maka report text harus dicirikan dengan ciri khususnya.
Ciri khusus dari report text adalah apa yang diumumkan adalah informasi yang
umum, sama sekali tidak spesifik.

Mangrove Trees
A mangrove is a tropical marine tree.
Mangroves have special aerial roots and salt-filtering tap roots which enable
them to thrive in brackish water. Brackish water is salty but not as salty as
sea water.
Mangrove trees are commonly planted and
found in coastal areas. Mangroves can serve as walls of protection for natural
disaster in coastal area like tsunami. According to BBC News, healthy mangrove
forests had helped save lives in the Asia disaster tsunami and people tended to
respect these natural barriers even more, especially after the tsunami.
There are several species of mangrove
tree found all over the world. Some prefer more salinity, while others like to
be very-close to a large fresh water source such as river. Some prefer areas
that are sheltered from waves. Some species have their roots covered with sea
water every day during high tide. Other species grow on dry land but are still
part of the ecosystem. The Times of India reported that rare species of
mangrove had been found and was also known as the looking-glass tree, probably
because the leaves are silver-coated.
Mangroves need to keep their trunk and
leave above the surface of the water. Yet they also need to be firmly attached
to the ground so they are not moved by waves.
Any part of root that appears above the
water flows oxygen to the plant under water surface. as the soil begin to build
up, these roots procedure additional roots that become embedded in the soil.

dalamnya. Procedure text ini di gunakan untuk memberikan petunjuk tentang cara
melakukan sesuatu melalui tindakan-tindakan atau langakah-langkah yang urut.

berupa SAGUSABLOG ini. Dan guru-guru di Bali-pun mulai menggelian mengikuti
berbagai Seminar Online yang diselenggarakan IGI Bali.
Kemandirian para Guru
di Maluku kadang terbatas dengan kurangnya mentor maupun terbatasnya Internet
yang terkesan Merogok Koceh lumayan besar sehingga mengurangi keinginan para
guru untuk terus mengembangkan diri disamping persaingan kualitas antar lembaga
maupun antar para guru masih kurang sesuai dengan yang diharapkan.
Kehadiran Workshop SAGUSABLOG ONLINE bagi sebagian
guru yang mempunyai keinginan besar untuk mengembangkan diri guna memenuhi
tuntutan pembelajaran berbasis Online menjadi angin segar serta dorongan untuk
bangkit serta berupaya menyetarakan diri dengan ketertinggalan yang begitu
jauh. Namun semangat juang serta tatapan penuh harap untuk kemajuan dunia
Pendidikan di Maluku menjadi sebuah harapan yang mungkin tidak lagi mimpi walau
masih terkesan sedikit menanjak untuk menggapainya.
Mimpi yang tumbuh dari
sebuah realitas dan harapan yang menggelora dalam real waktu dan kesempatan
yang telah terbuka luas tidak menjadi mimpi hampa tanpa bukti. Alhamdulillah
melalui Workshop SAGUSABLOG Online GRATIS kami hadirkan
Blog sederhana yang membutuhkan banyak uluran tangan serta bimbingan para
senior serta teman-teman dalam moto “Sharing
and Growing Together” – berkembang dan tumbuh bersama menjadi perekat guru di Timur
Indonesia dengan Guru di seluruh Nusantara.
